Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn
Father Anthony Percy was ordained in December 1990. Before commencing his vocation to the priesthood, he studied Finance at the University of New South Wales, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons). He served as an assistant priest in Young and Queanbeyan and was the Administrator of Ariah Park, Ardlethan and Barrellan. Between 1999 and 2003 he studied in the United States, obtaining his Licentiate and Doctorate in Sacred Theology. His doctoral thesis was entitled: “The Entrepreneur in the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church.” He was Parish Priest of Goulburn from 2003 to 2009.
He has published Theology of the Body Made Simple (2006), Jesus Christ, Yesterday Today and Tomorrow (2009) and Entrepreneurship in the Catholic Tradition (2011).
He was the rector of Good Shepherd Seminary in Sydney from 2009 until 2014. In February 2015, he commenced his appointment as Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn.
