Sister Moira Debono is a Religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan, USA. She studied in Rome at the Athenaeum Sant’Anselmo (STB, STL with a specialty in sacraments) and at the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Lateran University-Rome (STD). Before coming to Australia in 2008, Sister Moira taught at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver, Colorado and at the University of Portland, Oregon.

While in Denver she was also Director of the Office of Liturgy for the Archdiocese. She has given workshops for clergy and conferences and retreats to parish groups and to university students and in various parts of the United States and Canada. Since coming to Australia, she has continued this locally in the Sydney archdiocese, as well as in Brisbane, Albury and Townsville.

Sr Moira is a lecturer with University of Notre Dame, Australia where she teaches sacramental theology, liturgy and ecclesiology.
