The recent synods on the family articulated a call in the church to establish a Marriage Catechumenate. It’s a way of approaching marriage preparation as a period of formation that integrates many elements: catechesis in sacramental theology, teaching of relationship skills, spiritual preparation and formation – all for the purposes of evangelisation. Byron & Francine will unpack the principles driving these developments in Church best practice using their online course (SmartLoving Engaged). Delegates will learn how emerging technologies can be used to enhance the reach and impact of traditional courses, and explore how their ministries fit into the bigger picture of the mission of the church.
