John Shay is an accredited Family Life Educator, with 10 years of experience, and is the Manager of Natural Fertility Service (NFS), Diocese of Cairns. John is also a trainer for the Australian Council of Natural Family Planning, and is the Chairman of Fertility Education Australia. NFS delivers values based sexuality education throughout the Diocese from year 1 through to year 12 serving approx. 17000 students annually. John has a diverse background of life experiences which he likes to use to bring life to whatever topic he is presenting. John is a very experienced communicator having also spent seven years leading teams on missions to varying locations around the world including India, Poland, Lithuania and Ghana. John holds a Master’s degree in Theology, a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Welfare, a GradCert in Management, and a Cert 3 in Discipleship training. However, John believes his greatest credentials is his family; John Shay is married to Mikaela, and the proud father of five; John (10), Daniel (8), Stephanie (6), Sarah (4) and Joshua (2).
