The John Paul II Healing Center is sharing and imparting the passion and hope that St. John Paul II envisioned for the Church. Our conferences and resources have touched the lives of thousands of people, igniting transformation across the United States, and beyond. OUR MISSION To promote and inspire transformation in the heart of the Church, by healing and equipping God’s people for the New Evangelization. This mission is fulfilled in the very heart of the Church, helping people activate the fullness of their sacramental graces, while transforming their lives. OUR LOGO The two hearts represent love and relationship. The larger heart represents Jesus’ Sacred Heart, full of mercy and compassion. The red color signifies Jesus’ Precious Blood, the source of our healing. The smaller heart represents Mary’s Immaculate Heart, and our own, resting within the Sacred Heart. Its gold color is a sign of the transformation and purification of the Holy Spirit. The Flame depicts the fire of the Holy Spirit. The Cross, in the form of St. John Paul II’s crozier, pierces both hearts, and is the sign of our healing and transformation.

Sycamore Exploring Faith

By |December 14th, 2021|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , |

This is an enquiry course for those curious about Jesus and the Catholic Church. Many people find it hard to believe in a loving God. They doubt his existence altogether, or their experience of suffering and human tragedy make them doubt his love. Scientists seem to be solving the great puzzles of the universe, and psychologists seek to unlock the deepest mysteries of the human heart. But there are some questions that don’t go away. What caused the whole universe to exist in the first place? Why is there so much suffering in the world? What is the meaning of human life? What is the point of my own individual life? Is there such a thing as life after death? These are huge questions. You would be suspicious if someone claimed to answer them with any certainty. There is a limit, surely, to what we can discover for ourselves, and very often we need to admit that some questions are simply beyond human understanding. GOD HAS NOT LEFT US ALONE The heart of Christianity, however, is the belief that God has spoken to us in human history, by sending us his Son. He has not left us alone. He has revealed himself to us. We don’t have to go round in circles trying to solve everything ourselves. He has come to our help. The idea that Christians claim to know the truth about God will sound arrogant to many people, even fundamentalist. But in fact there is a kind of humility behind this claim. It’s not that Christians, as people, are special — far from it. It’s that they have been given the most extraordinary gift: the knowledge of Jesus Christ. And their desire is simply to share that gift with others. It’s Jesus himself who taught that he is the Way to God, and the Truth, and the Life.

Sycamore – Growing in Faith Together for Engaged and Married Couples

By |December 14th, 2021|Tags: , , , , , , , , |

For engaged couples who have completed their marriage preparation course and want to continue exploring their faith together, and for married couples to enrich their friendship and love. Four sessions about happiness, prayer, the Mass, and the meaning of love. With special discussion questions that allow couples to share and reflect together. This new Sycamore course has been designed to help couples reflect together on the deeper questions of life and on their love, in light of the Christian faith. How can couples achieve lifelong happiness and a sense of balance in their lives? How can they learn to pray together and support each other spiritually? How does God call couples to live out their faith in the family and society? This 4-week course is recommended first of all for engaged couples who have completed their formal marriage preparation, and married couples seeking to build and develop their relationship. The course is not a marriage preparation programme, and it does not directly explore the meaning of the sacrament of matrimony, but it can supplement or follow on from marriage programmes that are already taking place.
