SLM Upper Mt Gravatt

This April, couples will have the chance to experience the innovative SmartLoving Marriage Seminar which has been transforming marriages for over 20 years.

Coming to Upper Mt Gravatt, the seminar is said to “renew, strengthen and empower” over 5000 participants in Australia, New Zealand and the UK since 1990. Formally called Celebrate Love, the seminar is a private experience with proven results, and is ideal for those looking to refresh their relationship at any stage of their marriage.

The two-day experience covers a range of topics including communication, conflict and healing with the practical application of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. Couples are given activities to complete together at the seminar and take-home tips to equip them with the tools they need to rejuvenate their day to day routine as a couple.

Local presenting couple, Louise and Bruce Collins say, “The seminar has transformed our marriage and given us the resources to build a strong and resilient relationship that can handle modern day pressures.” Bruce and Louise are the coordinators of the SmartLoving Marriage Seminar in the QLD area and will travel to Rockhampton in June to run another seminar there.

Mark and Ursula (Tink) Boyd are excited to be joining the seminar as a Rockhampton based team couple. “We’ve been involved in a number of marriage education initiatives throughout our married life. SmartLoving has something special and unique to offer the community. We want to share the gift of this experience with couples in our home town.”

The seminar gives couples the means necessary to make their marriage flourish; for themselves and for the wider community. “The renewal in their relationship gives them a new energy and generosity. Their kids benefit, their kids’ friends benefit – the school, the parish, the community all get a taste of their passion and enthusiasm” says Byron, a co-author of the program.

In March this year after a Sydney based seminar for over 60 participants, Helen and David described their experience as “probably the best spent weekend in our lives.” They said, “The seminar was sensational” and expressed their gratitude to the team.

Richard and Pauline who also attended the seminar said, “It was truly an experience to walk the path of love and marriage through the seminar presentations. So much to absorb and digest, and after celebrating 47 years of marriage, we look forward to a renewed outlook for the future.”

Whether they’ve been married 1 year or 40, in stable marriages or stressed ones, the seminar helps couples to rekindle the flames of passion.

The SmartLoving Marriage Seminar will be held on April 27-28 in Upper Mt Gravatt and June 8-9 in Yeppoon. For more information, please contact The Marriage Resource Centre ph: (02) 9319 6280 or visit www.smartloving.org
